hey bloggie..lol..still planning for my big day..with 4months to go..oh my..****mixed feelings***In our church if one is planning to get married there a few bureaucracy's here and there and one of them is that the couple must attend a 10 week course on pre material counselling.it is a group thing..and for us guyz ,our class had close to 30 couples..having different older couples come in to take us through the classes..you learn alot,but its more fun when the members of your class are open and share what they have been learning..so unfortunate for us coz our class was full of quiet pips...nkt@@that wasn't interesting at all at all..mscheww..im sure the classes would have been more interesting if they were freeier n more open..it reached a point almost the end of the 10weeks.that i wasnt looking forward to the classes..coz of the boredom..thank GOD We managed to go through all the classes successfully..now just a few other things..like take to the church consent letters from both our poarents indicating that they have given us the go ahead and that we have their blessings to get married,....the board of elders or something like that will take like two weeks then get back to us*dont ask me what they will b doing during this period.
On graduating from the premarital class..the head of the department writes down all the email adreses to send out mails to the couples..attaching them to an older couple who they will walk with/counsell with/be under et al..during this season, the pre-wedding and after the wedding...We wrote down our email address and awaited the response..my fiance and i got abit disturbed when 4weeks elapsed and we hadnt received any mail from the church..Not mentioning that there was an older couple who had promised to walk with us..sent them an email a few weeks back and they explained that one of them was out of the country and once he gets back we shall plan for a meeting with one of them..one month later and we haven't heard from them*people are very busy**..it wasn't such a nice feeling but we choose to look at the bright side of life and told our selves we will make the best use of our other mentors...So yap..yesterday i called the lady who heads the premarital class just to inquire what happened to the mails that were to be sent out..the lady was quite astonished on hearing that we hadnt received any mails..then she goes like"actually you guyz are attached to us***yaynes..initially we had discussed this couple with my fiancee n we both thought they were soo cool,real n lovely..so yayness..looking forward to bonding with them,learning from them..n all the words to mean positive growth..im elated...indeed..HE FULFILLS THE DESIRES OF OUR HEARTS.
